Tools & Materials

You can make comics with a few basic tools found in many classrooms & offices…

COMICS FORMATS:

PreK-K & Grades 1+2: 4-panel pages

PREP: Kindergarten teachers may want to fold pages ahead of time for student use. Panel numbers can be added ahead of time OR by students (while w/ Marek).

It’s also possible to combine these quarters into larger panels — For example, the “Setting+Action+Result” page is great for starting your story!

What do they look like when we draw them out as STORIES?

Gr.5: Ecosystems & Food Chains:

Sample projects from Marek’s work:

Gr.6: Ancient Civilizations

Pre-Socratic Philosophers

Gr.7: American Revolution

NH’s Black Revolutionaries
