A fun “swappy” way to create ENTIRE UNIVERSES of new character, teams, rivalries, storylines, etc.!!
Created especially for COMICS CAMP artists + the Comics Workshop Handbook.
Here’s how it works:
This game goes great in a favorite sketchbook, or just on regular sheets of paper.
I like to fill each page with 4-12 boxes — I make sure each box is large enough for a drawing AND some writing.
Some players prefer to make the first 1-3 moves in their own book, which sets a certain tone for the team…
And now a little advice on improvising superhero doodles:
Even on days when I feel like I don’t have any new story ideas, if somebody writes a silly name into my sketchbook, I can always doodle SOMETHING under it!
No matter what happens, it’s sure to be a surprise.
You’ll know your team is ready when the story ideas start “popping” like popcorn!
