THE CHALLENGE: Choose a topic from the Georgia Standards of Excellence & make a short comic about it.

FOR EXAMPLE:

SS8H3 Analyze the role of Georgia in the American Revolutionary Era.

a. Explain the causes of the American Revolution as they impacted Georgia; include the French and Indian War, Proclamation of 1763, and the Stamp Act.

SS8CG1 Describe the foundations of Georgia’s government.

SS8CG1.a Explain the basic structure of the Georgia state constitution (preamble, bill of rights, articles, and amendments) as well as its relationship to the United States Constitution.

CHALLENGE: Section I: Bill of Rights / Everybody takes a different paragraph & draws it as a comics page/mini. What do these rights look like when we draw them out?

SS8CG1.b Explain separation of powers and checks and balances among Georgia’s three branches of government.
