How to COMICS JAM!

As featured in the COMICS WORKSHOP HANDBOOK.


The “COMICS JAM” is one of my favorite ways to jump-start new stories. We “jam” a LOT in summer library sessions — See the SUMMER DREAMS series. It works great in large groups, or just 1-on-1.

This is a great way to work w/ younger groups & in virtual sessions. Below are some 4-panel jams drawn w/ story ideas from (remote) school groups!:
