Patchwork Cantor Angel

I’m still thinking about those Cantor angels (a Cantor set iteration diagram, bent around a circular path)… Here’s a close up of another such creature, this time a bit more modern & streamlined:

So does this one look more like a Commedia Dell Arte buffoon, or a manga warrior-robot?  I can’t decide.  Here, maybe this will help:
