I haven’t been able to capture the grandeur of the mountains here with my camera. Part of the beauty of the scene is how it changes almost every hour. This morning I sat down and sketched it from the hammock at our camp. I think the drawing STILL doesn’t do the scene justice, but at least now I know the scene that much better, from taking the time to really study it.

Love it. I agree with the limitations of the camera. We just saw John Singer Sargent Watercolor Show…..what he can do with light in watercolors trumps the camera every time.
