Well, to be precise, THEY caught ME, and insisted I break out the index cards and pencils before camp began so they could work on pictures of coffee plantations, the harvest, their parents, houses, God, islands, dolphins… and other subjects.
Pinol is a traditional Nicaraguan toasted corn drink we’ve encountered in song before; it’s so important to national identity that the term “Pinolero/a” is synonomous with “Nicaraguan”.
It’s also a popular morning refrigerio snack for our campers.
