6 May, 2020: Another weekly reading of George Herriman’s “Krazy Kat” daily strip from exactly the same date, one hundred years before.

When we started reading this one, I saw only a crude vaudevillian riff on racist stereotypes. But as with all Herriman’s work, there’s a lot going on beneath the surface… or should we say, “in the basement”?
