Here’s one of my favorite surprise DOODLE techniques:
Sometimes when I’m doodling, & I’m looking for new ideas or a little extra surprise…

I doodle PART of a shape at the very EDGE of the page…
Then I hold the page up to a small mirror to complete the shape:

(For some reason, this always feels like a moment of discovery.)

It gets interesting when I add some other shapes & details to my half-doodle…

The mirrored results are always surprising & fun to “unfold.”

It gets even MORE interesting when I draw 1/4 of a shape in the CORNER of the page;
Now my small mirror can unfold only 1/2 the shape at once…

To complete the unfolding, I hold my page + small mirror together up to a 2nd larger mirror — Revealing a gigantic, unplanned world of doodle-ideas!
