CURVILINEAR PERSPECTIVE: An immersive way of seeing (& depicting) a 3D space!
PREVIOUSLY: With linear perspective, we started by looking at a far wall & drawing depth out of distance…
Now let’s set up the same space with MORE than one dimension of depth — In fact, let’s set it up with vanishing points in MANY dimensions!
First, we’ll rough in that same SOUTH wall of the room on the RIGHT side of the page — Then we’ll also add the NORTH wall on the LEFT of the page:

That’s right, this perspective will include BOTH ends of the room in the same picture — It’ll look like you’re turning your head from one side to another, & seeing the entire length of the room surrounding you!
The lines along that NORTH-SOUTH axis (WIDTH in this view) will now connect like this — NOT with straight lines, but in a gently curving field:

Let’s add in the EAST vanishing point, & the curving lines that represent edges running EAST-WEST:

Of course there’s also a VERTICAL axis with vanishing points far above & below our point of view — More about that here. Those vertical guidelines look like this:

To help show the structure of the room here, I’ve highlighted ceiling (blue), N + S walls (green), & floor (brown):

We can add tabletops (yellow surface) & other details along those same guidelines between the vanishing points:

Final curvilinear perspective of the room:

This approach obeys the rules of perspective for immersive environments — It depicts the experience of looking in all directions, & viewing more than one dimension of depth:

Here we have am immersive sense of depth SURROUNDING US in multiple dimensions! (Maybe that’s why it’s so tempting to add my hands & sketchbook into the scene…📖😎)
